Spyker automaker manufacture has unveiled he first prototype of the new Spyker C8 Aileron Spyder and will show it for this year at the 59th Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance. The Spyker C8 Aileron Spyder is a high-quality, semi-automatic canvas soft-top. The roof’s operation is electric/hydraulic, secured by one central latch operated manually.
Spyker C8 comes with features a superlight aluminium framework and 4.2-litre V8 engine, generating 400bhp. The original C8 was a stunning car, with its luxury interior complete with exposed gear linkage and smoking jacket lounge-like leather upholstery. Add a fully automatic folding roof and the result is the Aileron Spyder. Emblazoned on the chassis is the motto “Nulla Tenaci Invia Est Via” (“For the tenacious, no road is impassable”).
The Spyker C8 Aileron Spyder comes with a luggage rack, CNC-machined from solid billets of aluminum, mounted immediately behind the roll hoops, on which a wing-shaped aluminum case is strapped. The Spyker C8 Aileron Spyder case is trimmed in the same quilted leather as the interior and buttresses.

Muller, Spyker Cars’ founder and Chief Executive Officer said “Spyker Cars has taken the next step in our short but intense history with the launch of our second-generation sports car,” and “We are currently presenting the first Spyker C8 Aileron to customers, dealers and press around the world, and the response has been very enthusiastic.”
The Spyker C8 Aileron Spyder prototype features a semi-automatic canvas soft-top which is secured by one central latch operated manually. After opening, the soft-top of the Spyker C8 Aileron Spyder is totally enclosed within the body of the car. The soft top of the Spyker C8 Aileron Spyder features a glass rear windows and it’s offered in eight different colors. The Spyker C8 Aileron Spyder scheduled to go into production in the first half of 2010.
